That would be me. I am just another amateur who sometimes has illusions of being Ansel Adams (I don’t really) but loves photography. This is a way of sharing it with the world.

Name: what’s in a name?

I am based in Toronto, Canada but with roots in India. India became the world cup champions of Cricket (it’s the most popular game in India) in April 2011 and that's when this blog name was born. They wear a blue strip and there was a lot of promotion/hype on painting the country blue after the win and thus the name indiablue

Use a variety of lenses with a Canon EOS 40D DSLR. Love my Canon but that doesn’t mean I hate Nikon. I probably would have just as much fun shooting with a Nikon - Canon v/s Nikon fanboy arguments aren’t for me…

Canon EOS 40D

EF 100mm f/2.8 macro

EF 70-200mm f/4 L

EF 50mm f/1.4

Sigma 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6

UV filters/Circular Polarizers/Tripod etc

Processing: I do most of my processing in LR. Hardly ever do I use Photoshop. No time for it and I’d rather be shooting than sitting in front of a computer.

Wish list before winning the lottery:

where else am I?

There's no definite style that I follow. I would consider that limiting; I take pictures of whatever I like. It could be a macro, landscape, urban and street or a portrait. I do switch back and forth between various subjects, so for a while you might see a lot of landscape and nature shots and for the next while it might all be geared towards people and portraits

I follow a bunch of photoblogs + the daily dose of 500px and sometimes 1x.com. I've surprised myself on how much I've learnt (correct spelling btw, thank you!) by just observing and sometimes asking questions. Most photogs on the web are happy to share their knowledge and experience.

Visit these links and you won’t regret it:

Vote for me?

Sure, if you so wish. I’d be happy but I’d also be happy if you vote for any of the guys in the inspiration links. Your comments and visits are my reward (hmm that made me cringe too). Please keep coming back though!
